A quick introduction

Chives have long thin green stems, with a hollow centre. Chives are mostly used as a raw and fresh garnish.

Storage

Store in fridge, preferably in a closed container.

Suggestions for preparation

Chives can be cut up and used to garnish almost any dish. They work well on anything from red meat, to roasted vegetables, or smoked fish. They can also be incorporated into cream cheese for a fresh spread, infused in oil for extra flavour, or mixed with butter to create a compound butter.
